All Paige Spiranac wanted was to express her love for hot dogs “in peace.”
On Thursday, The golfer-turned-influencer tweeted“There’s nothing like a hot dog at the turn on the golf course.” Although a number of fans agreed with her statement and even shared photos of their favorite golf course snack, Spiranac’s innocent message also seemed to elicit some of Twitter’s best.
“I’m reading my comments after saying I’m enjoying a delicious hot dog at the turn.” Spiranac tweeted Thursday night.
Despite some rough online noise, Spiranac appears to be enjoying her time off the screen and on the green. Earlier this week, the 29-year-old “Playing A Round” podcast host shared a series of Instagram photos from the Royal Blue Golf Club in Nassau, Bahamas.
Although Spiranac appeared to be enjoying themselves, their time on the links was not without a struggle.
“A little bit of Bahamas golf🌸🐚 I’ll be honest, my game is really struggling right now. Today I got the yips off the tee, which was the first time since I’ve played pro,” Spiranac said of the condition where a golfer develops a hook in his swing and causes misses.
Spiranac then opened up to her followers about how they can improve their golf games together this summer.
“Let’s make this a team effort. A support group for bad golf lol. What do you want to improve with your game this summer?” she said.
Not surprisingly, Spiranac’s post drew an onslaught of reactions, with some fans spouting words of encouragement.
“Do not get discouraged! Nobody is always perfect! But you’re damn close! Heads up! (unless you play golf I guess…head down then) Take a deep breath,” one follower wrote, while another shared, “I bet you did better than you think. you go girl.”
